The 11-day annual Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA), Canada’s oldest and largest festival of literature, which offered over 60 events and was attended by approximately 200 authors from nearly 30 countries, contributed to celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence with a gathering of three of Poland’s top authors – Dorota Masłowska, Jakub Małecki, Jakub Żulczyk.
They are the cream of the cream of the young generation of Polish writers with remarkable success both in Poland and internationally.
The event – “Celebrating Poland” featured a panel discussion and a Q&A with the three authors chaired by our own Canadian best selling author Eva Stachniak and hosted by prof. Tamara Trojanowska, Director for the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies at the UofT, former director of the Polish Language and Literature Program.
